Error Codes E13, E16, 1686, and 1688
The error codes given on a canon printer indicate that the ink cartridges might not be ink. Replace empty ink cartridges with all compatible cartridges to fix this issue. Close the paper output cover securely after replacing the cartridges.
Such error codes show that the ink cartridges are empty and need to be replaced. If the message persists, even after a new cartridge is inserted, you can dismiss this error code. When the printer feels the ink is running out, these errors are shown. And, if you think that this error is incorrect, you can fix this error.
Press and hold the STOP / RESET / RESUME button for 10 seconds on the Canon printer. When you push the button for a couple of seconds, it let the printer know that the user knows the message and wants to print again. You are also usually able to print after that.
Error code B200
Error code B200 refers to a service error associated with the print head of the computer. This could mean that the head voltage or temperature of the printer is not normal. Canon’s official advice is to do the following. Turn the printer off. Remove the power cable from the source of power. Open the cover of the printer and remove any protective band. Check if there are foreign objects inside the printer, like broken paper bits, clips, hair, cotton, etc. Remove and clean the cartridges. Place them firmly in their place. If this does not solve the problem, please contact the Canon Repair Center.
Error code 6c10
Canon printers have an internal counter that keeps track of the number of pages you have printed. This helps the printer to know the waste incense produced in the printer. This error code occurs when the printer assumes that the amount of waste ink collected is too high. You’ll need to clean the foam that collects the waste ink to fix the problem. To do so, open the printer lid and look for a plastic piece that sticks out. Clean the plastic with a soft cloth and the square that looks like foam.
